Default Want an exhaust!!

Hey,
I know this has probably been asked alot of times 4: ... and ive done the search thing and cbf going through like 20 pages, but im looking at getting an exhaust for the EL. Would just like to know what kinds of exhausts you guys have on your eseries, approximately how much they set you back, and where is a good place to get it done.. The cheapest i got quoted was 350 and that was 2 1/2" catback with twin dumper tip.
Any help appreciated
Cheers

Sounds about right to me im in adelaide though so prices may vary. I think from memory 300-350 is what i paid for mine, 2.5" cat back with redback muffler but no tip (which im regreting now they look better with a nice tip) and mine sounds quite nice i think, not too loud not too quiet.

Hey Rips, I payed 200 for my 2.5" exhaust and one muffler at Exhaust fix in croydon, this didn't include the tailpipe though, just the centre exhaust, i'd say about $300 for the full cat back. Mine is custom as i had it replaced for RWC and the previous one was an oldskool genie system that was no longer available so he had to weld it up himself. The guy there is pretty good, I know Sunny had his done there same with Ash, Doug and i think Dan had some work done there.

300 bucks should get you a 2.5" Redback/Lukey cat back, mandrel bent system with one muffler.

You could try Hallam exhausts. They do alot of work for forum members. Barney does custom exhausts so you can get whatever you want!

Thanks guys, got it booked in for today at 12:00 at Mr Muffler in bayswater. He said he'd do me a good deal and i thought it was pretty reasonable.. He said 2 1/2" redback, from the cat back, mandrel bent with which ever tip for $340. Also wanted to get twin dumpers as the tip, but most of them are saying it looks sh#t on an EL.. Any of you guys got twin dumpers facing down on ur rides, if so love to see a pic..
Cheers

I was actually going to mention not to get it done there :

I got mine here and specifically asked for the tips to be put further back, I showed them what I meant for about 10 minutes, but do you think they could get it right? No. Then my exhaust was rubbing on the spare tyre well, so what does the guy do? Uses a crow bar to bend the fu(k out of the exhaust and in the process putting a few dents in the well. Finally, he made me out to be an idiot for asking if they could raise the exhaust/muffler about an inch... :jab:

Sorry for the bad info, but I hope you have a better experience.

Yeah $350 is a good price...considering 250 for the exhaust setup, 50-odd for labour, and 50-odd for a tip.

A nice wide oval tip looks a treat on the EL's. Fills up the hole in the bumper nicely.

Got the exhaust today!!!! Its sick.. really happy with it. its got like a nice note at idle, and when you give it a squirt it just sounds wicked... Had a small problem with the tip, as i told them i wanted twin dumpers but they gave me these weird looking ones.. Anywayz got them to order one, which took about 3 hours for them to get down, and got it fitted, they also had to chop a fair bit off the normal tip of the exhaust so that the tip that was gunna be put on wouldnt stick out so much, which meant they got cracking on it with a cro bar trying to reposition it lol. The price all together went up slightly, but that was because the damn tip was so expensive. All up cost $400. WIll get some pics of the tip and stuff tomoroow
Cheers
