Default Employment help

Alright guys i need a hand looking for employment in the retail/sales department.
Im going to be studying business managment next year (enrolment is in december) and im unsure of how to go about getting a position in managment. Obviouslly i need to start small and work up but im not sure on how i go about it.
I am 18 ( will be 19 in february) and very keen to get started in the industry a.s.a.p. I dont have any previous business experience (which doesnt really help) as i have been cooking for the past 2 and a half years. My reason for leaving cooking is ive had enough of the kitchen and i think its time for me to get a real career on my back and to experience something completely different.
What would my best bet to get started in this line of work be??

And if you know anyone looking for a keen, young, fresh minded employee please p.m. me. Im located in the western suburbs of melbourne and am very willing to travel. Any job opportunities welcome, im not to fussed.

Cheers in advance guys, Will.
