Default 2.0L Auto Air Deflector

I have been working on a new mod to my focus, a spoon to help direct more air up to the underside of the 2.0L auto air deflector I installed....

took me a while, and a few fustrating attempts but am pretty close to getting a design I want and that works.....

Has anyone else done anything similar to their focus? My idea is to feed more air into the box for a better running machine, only concern was forcing more dust, dirt and other crap into the filter and have an expectation that my K&N may not last as long as if I wasnt delfecting more air from in front of the radiator in..
