Default Avi authoring

I have a few avi video files on my computer that i've been meaning to put to dvd for some time now. I've downloaded a few programs that do this

TEMPEnc which was way too slow and converted my files to mpeg which has no use to me.
IMToo DVD to Avi Converter and Xilisoft (same program) which had too many audio sync errors and also took about 5-6 hours.
ConvertXtoDVD which so far was the best program but has limited authoring features and does not allow me to add a menu made in a seperate program. it also had a few audio problems which were small

Does anyone here uses a program regualary to transfer avi files to dvd? I've heard a couple of good things about Nero Vision but i'm yet to download it (will take me 4 hours on DU)
