good on ya for trying something different. I would have thought red walls would only look good on 19"+ tyres, but hey, I might be wrong. Make sure u post up some pics when it's done.

Those wheels are hideous... trust me... I have a set (not on the car now though). Pretty much anything will look better than those.

Not bad SLY*302. I have seen a heritage green ef fairmont with white walls dumped down my way and it does make you look twice.

I beg to differ. I'm of the opinion that EL Ghia rims are one of the better looking E-series factory alloys.

Yeah I'll add my opinion on the wheels...

I think that the EB S-Pack 5 spokes, the Turboblades and the EL Ghia wheel are the best looking E-Series wheel you can get, and the DF LTD wheel for the luxos.

Don't worry, I always reckon that a Ghia just doesn't look complete without a set of those wheels. :P

Sorry mate but I don't think your car pulls it off (your paint colour vs redwall colour & rim choice).

But I can see it working on other ELs!

I like the idea, but I think white would be a better choice and maybe not having it so close to the actual rim.

Default Red / White Walls on large rims.

Hello all.

For those that are asking about where to get their tyres white / red walled if you are in Melbourne this is my territory.

Please call me if you are interested; Paul 0438 645772

I can do the following red / white walling or many other colours:

This is a pic of a GT XY that I did recently:

WH Caprice 19" rims:

Commodore VN 19":

Chevrolet 1967 Camaro 20" Rims:

I hope I have not broken any forum rules I am just trying to answer some of the questions here for a person that does this in Melbourne.

My small business does all detailing at your location which includes white / redwalling. Cars, Trucks, Planes etc.

Paul

What is the price to get white-walls done, mate? And can you still use tyre shine etc?

Cheers

The rate is $35 per tyre, it takes around 2 hours per car as I am really fastidious and at your location.

No to any silica tyres.

Also any tyres that have had silicon of any nature need to be well and truely cleaned i can provide a process for this if needed, I will also do some final preparation prior to preparing the tyres for painting.

Re tyre shine, I have my own product that has gone though a lot of testing and should be ready over the next week for use, so far over the the past two weeks the results are fantastic. Its a non silicon based product and will I have it available for sale to my customers.

If you want to discuss more my number is 0438645772 and the name is Paul. Cheers. :

Sorry I forgot to say why I have my own product: the silicon reacts with the paint and does two things

1. it stops the paint from sticking to the rubber and in consequence just falls off or peels.

2. Some times cracking appears in the middle of the paint.

Thanks
Paul
