I have a few heroes, real & fictious:

- Henry Ford. He is a hero to me simply because he believed in the idea that an automobile should be affordable to the common man, not reserved just for the super elite. His ideas created one of the very foundations todays society is based upon.

- The scientists of the Renaissance eg: Newton, Galileo, DaVinci. Nerdy as that is, we have them to thank for the Modern Age.

- I wont mention my political heroes, id rather not spark a debate.

- And I wont mention my fictious heroes either, id rather not be picked on for it.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY:

The brave men and women who fought and died in the Armed Forces protecting the way of life we enjoy today. Lest We Forget.

Not only every man and woman who died saving a country we love so much, but the people who also made it home, mentally and or physically traumitized so that we can live in peace.

I hang my head low in awe of feats achieved unattainable by most, yet done so by people just like us.

lest we forget.

My Dad...(I feel for anyone who doesn't think their Dad is a hero)
My Mum...(for putting up with someone I think is a Hero)
My last partner.. who put up with me for so long
My younger brother who lived his dream and is still doing it!!
And my youngest brother who never had the chance to live his dream ,but, I'm sure ,would have done so, given half a chance.

A LOT of people here are liars.

Nobody has said, 'Chuck Norris' when you people crap on about him all the time...

Well, some of you fail! :P

That aside, I also like Bill Dauterive. I also find Dale Gribble quite interesting.

I was named after my dad's boyhood best mate who died a teenager in a burning bomber in Belgium in WW2, so he is a hero to me.

Now if this guy - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egon_Erwin_Kisch - had been listened to, the poor kid might not have had to go to war, so Egon Kisch is a hero to me also.

And my dad and his brother who endured horrible times in the Pacific war.

And a teacher in my boyhood who read the book "All Quiet on the Western Front" to the kids in my history class.

Maxie Priest, the "Brunett Camp Boss" who taught me cattle and horses.
My Cousin Pete "The Black Prince" who taught me Dogs & the Draught.
My Brother Bruce, who taught me charm isn't everything.
There are a few others who may not be popular here...... they know who they are.

“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.
