I'm going to fire up my Nitro hack again this summer. I've had a Neo attack mx-4 laying around for years. It's not a nice Novarossi 15R engine in it too, also got Mars EX 1 FM radio gear here.
Below some pics I pinched to show what the car looks like ;) Bought it new in 99 for the Nationals. Raced and sat it in the cupboard ever since. ![]() ![]() ![]()

That's them ;) I used to get accused of radio interference all the time which was BS as my 40+mhz frequency was way up in the band that it's not even a recognised 40mhz FM crystal ;)
It was funny when I did testing. Always someone jumpy when I started using the car. Always had to tell them stop fretting because I guarantee they don't have the frequencies I run. Some race places won't even let you run those frequencies ![]() I used to own a quick Kyosho pure 10 also. It had a Novarossi 12R engine (1hp) in it. Quite a good car have some fun with. I stuck the Neo back in the cupboard as there was no aftersales support for it. Always took forever to get parts from WA or NSW. I was so ****ed at the Vic shop owner for selling only 10 and never selling any parts for them. I never bought anything at his shop again.

gave my car a bit of a run today, it was getting quite hot, i guess as a factor of both heat, and leaned out a fraction. still blows lotsa smoke, but i may have to richen it some more.

Should always tune for performance, not temps... but a temp gun is a good way to identify problems (air leaks, poor fuel etc). So long as it's not getting so hot that it 'flames out', you should be ok.

nah, spit test. spit on my finger and put it on the top of the heat sink. couldnt even hold it there for a second...
what do you mean by 'flaming out' sounds bad. the car is running fine, it was just bloody HOT and i dont wanna cook the engine while im learning how to drift

flaming out = stalls
It can be caused by two problems. Too rich or too lean. If it smokes and stalls? Generally your running it too rich.
