From what I understand your data from GT3 can be used in GT4. A few mates in the US have been playing for almost a week now and told me a bit about it. For some reason though they haven't been replying to my emails much? I can only wonder why that is! :hihi:

If you have completed driving tests in GT3 your savegames will excuse you from completeing licence test A and B, and also I think it gives you 100,000 or 1,000,000.
A. Who in Australia already has a copy? B. How did you get it before thursday? |

So where has everyone been getting theirs cheaper?? He warned me that it will use 75% of the memory card. Last edited by MAD; 08-03-2005 at 04:06 PM. |

Love GT3, although I can't say there aren't things in it I'd change if I could. What I'd love to see would be fuel consumption and therefore fuel stops in the pits making the strategy have more depth to it. Quote:

A better deal? Um.... "free" from "5 finger discount store".
![]() Damn, gunna need to buy a new mem card too. I agree with you on GT2. The graphics were worse than GT1, BUT it had the drag cars, the HKS silvia and the HKS skylines. Heh heh. And a couple of favourites. GT3, I'd also like to see fuel consumption, VISIBLE PIT CREWS FFS, and proper support for the force feedback steering wheel. It was a nightmare to use in GT3. I've butchered the settings for the FTO LM edition, so it's the ultimate drift car, if anyones interested. I can post the suspension settings, the gear ratios and mods required to make a bucket of fun out of this great car. Hmm, anyone in WA want to come over and play? ![]() I've got GT4 prologue, but it's just a tease really. |

They way you guys are talking up this game i might have to look at picking up a ps2 off ebay. I have always been into xbox and everyone knows its potential.
Is gt4 that good that it is worth picking up a ps2 just for that game??

Dude, Gran Turismo is and always will be the DEFINITIVE tarmac racing game. I (and millions of others) highly recommend it. The learning curve can be quite steep if you're new to the series, but well worth it once you get the "feel" for the game. I bought a PS2 JUST so I could play GT3-A spec when it came out. Hell, I bought the game 2 months before I bought a PS2.

How much are memory cards? I scored one free with my PS2 so I wouldn't know how much they are? Hope its not too much as my pay is already already gone for this week and I haven't even filled the car with petrol :(

Noddy: It's definitely worth it no doubt! You won't regret it at all.

About the memory card issue... I saw the GT4 box on sunday at Games Wizards (just the box; the bloke swore they didn't have the game backstage) and it said minimum memory card space as 1,4xx KB or around 1.5 megs. I guess you may need 6 megs if u wanna save pics u take within the game, but u can use a usb card for that (but u can't use it for saving gameplay). And finally, for those who wanna know, a memory card is around 50 bucks or you can buy a pack of 2 for $80.
A question for anyone who knows: i got the DVD remote for the PS2 and i installed the software that came with it and it takes around 2 megs on the memory card... but i seem to be able to use use it without the memory card.... do i really need the software??? cheers |
