M5, DB9 or Carerra GT (damn those things sound awesome)
But something I could actually afford would be a Mazda 323.

I'd rather not have a private conversation with you, you're (thanks damo!) not my buddy. Nor anyone elses it seems. The old S13's would be an awesome choice too! But as far as price goes you would be hard pressed selling a nice EL to have enough cash to buy one. Same with most of these alternatives, the E series are too good value for money I guess. You might get away with some of the older cars with conversions and cheaper old school rotors but all the decent jap cars are still priced over $10K arent they?

F***, you guys are going nuts, I'll go back to mentioning the VL turbo owners that I know around here, none of them are ****ers and respect their cars just like any e-series owner around here. You must have a ****er-detector(tm) or something. LOL

Man this thread took off. I been away for like a day and this thread has 7 pages. I can't be screwed reading through it but I'd get;
Canary yellow VL BT1 Turbo with a Calais front, custom silver painted bars and side trims with a pearl through them, Calais rear, white rear window venetian, For Sale sticker, loud flutter, VYSS 18's or Simmons 19's ![]() Sundeep |

Hmmmm, I forgot about the Mazda Capella we have, 4cyl version though :( I'd do a rotory conversion if i sold the ED, and just keep it nice and tidy with standard rims and a respray. We've stripped it back and it's only got tiny amounts of rust around the front windscreen, but alas i have no money to do it unless i sell the ED...
I'd like to do up a 2 door Chrysler Lancer if I could find one too, with some sort of 2ltr N/A engine. We had one as a paddock bomb and it was nuts, only a little 1.3 (i think 1.3, it was a little saturn motor anyways), but it hammered coz it was so light. A friend, my brother and I could briefly pick the car off the ground by ourselves!

In reality, we perceive drivers of other makes of cars as hoons, ****ers, whatever, because we are bias towards our own make & model. I hated VN's for a while coz one plowed up the back of my ED. I would've also hated Hyundai's, Toyota's, Kia's or damn Ferrari's if it had've been one of those that did the same thing.
Not ALL VL drivers are ****ers, the same as not all E-series owners are ****ers. It's easy to stereotype a group because of your own likes and dislikes. We are all here to appreciate the E-series and no-one should be bagged out if they would want a Commy if Fords weren't around. This is meant to be innocent discussion on what we would like as an alterantive, not a witch hunt for people who would stray to the 'dark side.' I personally would go VALIANT if no Fords were around, but hey, that's me! Mmmmmm, triple Webers & a 265! Pete.

Redef6: yep i saw the ad love it, but not enough to pay $18k for it. On an off-topic note i think i know more about jap imports than my falcon ![]() Last edited by FRDXR6; 12-05-2005 at 08:33 PM. |
