I am just curious what people think an EL 4.0L, auto and assoisated electics sell for. everything is in good mechanical order and just had major service done to both motor and box, and was previously serviced regulary. I have been offered an el xr6 motor and 5 spd with all parts required for the conversion and they are willing to take all the parts i will be replacing with the xr gear if an amount can be agreed upon

All depends on what they are selling the XR set up to you for - if its cheap then you have to sell your stuff cheap - if its expensive then you have to sell you stuff for a higher price.........

How many k's they done?
Last auto box I got from the local ford wrecker 18 months ago cost me $900 fitted and the car it came from had only done 90,000. Checked car and box out before it was fitted and they gave 12mths warranty as well. Shame I sold the car 4 months later.

Has the box had a reco? if not it will not be long til it stops. Box not worth much if it has not had a reco, engine still worth something.
