Head over to the Au section mate.
Is it a 6 or 8? Done anything to it at this stage? Budget?

A thousand max! I can't wait for the usual unsubstantiated claims of increased power that you can gain from cold air intakes, K&N filters, exhausts and (if we are really lucky) electric blowers.

Hard to get any real big power gains without adding a turbo or changing the internals.
However I suggest: A high flow cat and a Cold air intake system to begin with. I wouldnt go out and spend big dollars on a whole exhaust system. I may get shot for this - but I have never really been convinced that a huge exhaust system gives any extra power which you can notice. You can also get a regrinded cam ( wade cams ) which arnt all that expensive, and have provided some moderate power gains for some forum members. Can also play with the ratios in the diff to give more low end power.

i'd suggest a cold air intake set up. it'll cost you squat all and is proven to get you about 3 or so RWKW
http://autospeed.com/cms/title_Negat...8/article.html that link will help with that. if you want cheap. get a shelf 2.5 exhaust system. can pick them up for around 250 if you search ebay enough and they do pretty well. as stated a reground cam from wade will give you a bit of performance. however would be useless with out anyother mods. so i'd make it the last thing u get. also while i think alot of them say no tuning is required i think you'll find that it'll run at its best with some tuning. but thats up to you tho |

i find it hard to believe you honestly think an exhaust system will do nothing
take a look at the stock headers and take a look at a set of extractors and tell me they wont flow a great deal better the cat isnt really that restrictive until you start modding or unless its damaged the factory catback is ok if you have a fully stock exhaust but of course you want something that sounds nice and has better flowing mufflers, you wont gain much power with simply a catback but its a must if you want extractors a full system done at a good price (there are bargains to be had, shop around or do it yourself) will set you back around a grand, then add in pod/panel filter, cut the front out of your air box (free) both will give you a bit more noise and will breathe better if you want to spend no more than a grand i wouldnt even think about diff ratio change, high stall or anything like that or you could get a transmission cooler, catback, air filter and still be on the cheap and reliable side POELWYK on here went from a stocker to a full exhaust in his duel fuel forte and his car drives much much better now, if you do it all at once you will feel the most gain and probably feel the most satisfied about it

I had a look at the link, would you be able to do that on a dual fuel car without all the sensors and other crap for the LPG getting in the way |

there would be certain things you could do to improve flow where you could. perhaps not all the way thru tho. look in to an exhaust and an air intake. seriously intake will cost you squat all. and you'll notice gains i promise. more so with extractors. |

find a dedicated gas throttle body, my understanding is they are a little hard to find but get rid of a big restriction
also note if you want extractors you will need the 4499s (low-mid range torque, top end improved of course but not as much as the tuned length 4480s) as 4480s wont fit a mixer setup.

My ded gas ute destroyed my front muffler through backfiring(fixed now)so i chose to not replace it and just fill the gap with straight pipe,im suprised how much better it goes now and seems to rev quicker too.Its no louder than before and i now just have the one rear muffler.

It depends on who is doing the work. If you can do stuff yourself, you can win. If your paying someone to do it, you wont get much done.

$1000 hey.....
http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11291568 Cam and chiptorque chip - $300, up to 15kw, 20 with a tune. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11291446 Pacie comps - $270 - 5-10kw http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ea-eb-ed-ef-e...4#ht_500wt_975 Lukey 2 and a half inch cat back - $200 - 5kw, dont worry about it being press bent, it will be fine. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11284742 Ballistic cat - $170 - maybe 2kw, but will compliment the system. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/K-N-AIR-FILTE...#ht_2493wt_958 KandN panel filter - $84 Cut the front out the airbox - Free All up - $1024 - Youd end up with a high 14 second car, around the 135kw mark. Save another $400 and get it tuned, and it will be around the 140kw mark.

Only thing I see as being a problem is the exhaust, and they would out that on for $100. My cam thread is easy enough to follow, and the intake is a no brainer. The chip shouldnt be too hard either, just an Email to chiptorque and they will help out.
