Picked up a trend on friday fitted with slimline weathersheids on front and rear. 60kms later, the passenger shield flys off, and the drivers side starts to fall off but i caught it in time. The rears are starting to come off.
They are double sided taped on. My mitsubishi outlander ones are double sided tape and clips. The ford ones are rubbish for $135. I am taking mine back! |

my genuine ones on my territory have been fine.
they are supplied with isopropyl alcohol wipes to clean and prep the area where they are stuck. i wonder if that wasnt done? did Ford fit them for you? if so you have a 12 month warranty on them

Have them fit some new ones, properly.
That's simply not good enough if they fall off, ever.

Options that u get fitted prior to delivery and fitted by ford are covered by the 3 year factory warranty. I've read it in writing somewhere.

I bought my 2000 AU XR8 off my old man in 2009, he had it since new and they were a ***** to remove, the car would have died and rusted away before they were going to fall off

The rubber on the door frame to which they are stuck to tends to have a coating that simply rubs off after a few washes, so I can see why these weather sheilds are simply falling off.
Made in the USA. You'd think with the numbers of people they have over there, they'd make a product less dicky! I bought mine as an after thought so a lot of that flakey rubber coating had alreayd come away. My weather shields are sticking OK but I can see it lifting on some of the ends. |

To be honest.....I'm not sure. I bought the weathershields a couple of weeks after delivery so I can't remember life without them.
As it is now it isn't obnoxiously loud with the windows down, no worse than any car with the windows down....is a lot better than the ute used to be! Being able to have the windows slightly open when it's raining far outweighs any added wind noise IMO. |

Ahh good good. I've arranged to have a set put on mine this coming week. Was meant to be yesterday but they had the wrong stock on hand. I love the ford weather shields because they're well tinted and very slim.

I wish the weathershields said "Focus" on it though. |

yours doesn't allow you to have the windows slightly down (letting air in) but preventing water from getting into the car?

Maybe factory one a bit wider, as stated mine look great, would never come off, but a little too narrow to serve intended purpose.I have friend with Mazda 3 much better because there wider and prevent water dripping in. |
