Thought id ask for the help of you guys as Im no computer wizz.
Ive just recently decided to upload all my movies from my Canon video camera onto my laptop to make a movie, unfortunately it seems i need a firewire connection, which i dont have. Do I need one, and if so how do I have to get it installed into my laptop. Or, is it possible to buy a USB attachment to do the job? (Ive looked, but can't find anything)

Since its a card, it obviously has to be installed into the laptop, is there anyway that it can be done externally? Sorry if it is a stupid question

Mate a PCMCIA card is a flat type of card that is the size of a credit card. There is a slot on the side of the Laptop that it plugs into. No screw drivers needed.
Then your next challenge is to find some software to use to import it into the PC and then some software to edit it and then some stuff to convert it to DVD format (assuming you have a DVD writer...) |
