Getting back to the spirit of India, I mean Australia. It would appear that they are no longer flying daily to the Alice. Now if I remember correctly Q.A.N.T.A.S Queensland And Northern Territory Air Service..... Ironic. We have always been ripped of out here when it comes to air fares, I guess it can only get worse now..... Strange really, I have never flown in or out of Alice on anything less than a full plane. Bring back the Virgins!!

I'd argue that the current government's agenda has gone overboard, as would a lot of people who voted for Howard and would do so again.

But my point again: The government is not the issue. Yes, they've made it harder to enforce a higher wage for yourself. But there are plenty of people out there who ARE willing to work to keep their wages and conditions above the bare minimum. Whilst a government can legislate to make it easier for individual contracts to exist, easier for dismissals to happen, the power ultimately is still in the hands of those out there doing the work.

I admire your sentiments, Outback and agree to a certain extent, but I'd offer the following comments:

1) AFF IS NOT THE PLACE TO HAVE THIS CONVERSATION (Hypocritical, I know, but I'll stop if everyone else will)
2) AFF IS NOT THE PLACE TO HAVE THIS CONVERSATION
3) Bashing away at the percieved "right wing" is not helping anyone. You have a position. They have a position. Do you think that repeatedly telling them that their ideas suck will result in flappist and 4.9 waking up tomorrow and joining the ALP?
4) AFF IS NOT THE PLACE TO HAVE THIS CONVERSATION

Cheers all,

This thread should have been closed from post #1. There needs to be a 'report this thread' icon on AFF.

Life is just a bunch of stuff that happens.

Stuff has happened, is happening, and will continue to happen. Good stuff, bad stuff, neutral stuff, in the end it is all the same, people will view them all in different ways and what's good for me might not be any good for you.

We can yell and scream, argue and try to make each other look like idiots all we like, but it takes away energy from doing something proactive and to help the situation. If all those that care so deeply and passionately argue with the people who can make changes then perhaps things wouldnt be so bleak and terrible.

If you do what i do you can capitalise on it all and go into a field where you know you will always be needed...become a LAWYER!!! Better yet... do something useful and become a politician and change everything to create your paradise, mind you, you may have to discover a small island and create your own country and government because 100% of the population will never be able to all agree that you have created paradise.

This has gone way too far into the political arena, lets keep this forum a happy place and let the political slanging matches occur somewhere else.

It has and if history has a say it will only go further even with warnings

Everyone has had a chance to have a say, but I dont think there is any point going further into political agenda's
