Hi just a few questions if anyone can help me out
I can get hold of a ED Fairmont 6 cyl manual off a mate for next to nothing but i was just wondering if it is the same as a AU T5, as in converting it to my AU wagon.... would it work? Also what would be better performance wise out of a AU XR6 VCT motor and a stock BA 6 cyl.....opinions??? If the ED manual does work in an AU how would it go matching up behind a BA 6cyl....anyone ever heard of that? cheers. |

Gearbox from an e-series will bolt up but the extension housing and output shaft are shorter, the sifter would be located directly under the ashtray in an au.
E series T5 is the last one in the pic then AU T5 and BF T56 is the closest one ![]() BA i6 will give you better performance but will not be a striaght forward drop in and away you go job. |
