as title says i just put msd's and ice 9 mm leads on my series 1 xr8 and whenn i hit 4000rpm the car brakes down and struggles and push higher in the rpm... any ideas

collapsed cats?
blocked fuel filter? Air filter? fuel pump starting to die. could be a number of things. have you swapped back to the original coils to test if the MSD's are faulty? Assuming it was running fine before. If you have only changed 2 things being coils and leads and it was fine before, one of those 2 things is not working properly. basic deduction. |

originals were snapping at the plug on one the them ... but ran alright ... dont have them on me atm to test tho ... ... wouldnt collapsed cats hinder the ability to reach 4000rpm comfortably ??? when my skyline dumped its cat it sruggled to my any power let alone high end power. i might be wrong and correct me if i am

Put new plugs in it, if the plugs are worn the extra voltage from the MSD's can finish them off.
