Hi hoping someone can help my old lady has a 2007 LT auto hatch that yesterday refused to go into park and therefore cant get they key out...
She had to get it towed as she couldnt get hold of me, now the guys who towed it are telling her they cant fix it will need to be towed to a ford dealer! Any help greatly apprciated Steve |

Has the silver "trim" below the selector dropped slightly?
This will stop it going into park. My LT at work has had this happen? |

^ yep this is the problem.
The silver trim around the gear selector stalk drops down half a cm and jams the selector mechanism. The key cannot be removed unless the shifter is in park. Only takes half a second to fix...just lift the silver trim back up again and click it back into place. |
