Question Interior renovations...

hey guys,

my exterior is finished, apart from wheels, but that may be coming soon.

was thinking about my interior, how much would a custom interior cost roughly? what do they involve. really have no idea what i want to do, just something different.

cheers

Daniel

Not really sure dude, depending on how custom you wanted to go. Could go from a grand to way up there in the big bucks.

Daniel,

Joe is right, you have nice ghia trims, you just need to get some nice seats to match. Some Ghia seats would be great, if not maybe fairlane interior? its normally a little cheaper.

If you can afford it by all means go custom but it does cost quite a bit. Even some of the quotes ive had to reupholster front Ghia seats have been scary!

i want a custom interior as well. i like the creamy/yellow leather interiors on new beema's/mercs. id keep it all the same with only a colour change and maybe a dfferent stich patern in the seats.

I can see it now... Repadded to look like CLK Merc seats in same colour leather with Cobalt stitching. With GHIA script in the seats :

whats with BOX CAR in your sig?

im planning on doing a full interior retrim in the future, hopefully near future that is.

right now i have eb1 ghia half leather half velour recaro style seats front and rear, hopefully next week ill have the wood grain door trims. after i buy a few more things ill be getting super plush pile carpet in black get the seats retrimmed and rebolstered with extra foam to make them extra buckety both front and rear, the colour scheme will be black with silver highlights (door inserts, some plastics, and middle of seats), similar to jetxr's interior though with eb seats. dash will also be covered in black material. ive also got a few things planned but i dont really want to give those things away.

ive already been quoted about 2500-3000, but ill know when i get the car there whats involved and what material i will be using, hopefully a synthetic leather or a good quality vinyl will be used and possibly a bit of suede.

To get the whole lot re-done & re-padded. Your looking at minimum $2k (for vinyl imitation, or suede) to $3k+ (for leather).

I'd be looking at an XR interior. Or something else as the guys have suggested.

Otherwise, I'd get my interior steam cleaned professionally (if it's in ok nick). And get the door trims and other little parts done in leather.

Just what I would do though.

the biggest quote i ever got for a retrim was 11k, but that was everything done in terracotta or bone like most magazine cars, with genuine italian leather. ИИИИn insane how expensive some people can be.

all depends on what you really want though mate, what material, stitch patern, more bolstering, new springs in your seats, custom stuff like shapes, embroidery and colours.

any ideas on what you want?

Ehab

well vynyl retrims can be had for 1 grand and basic leather front and rear and door tims for around 2-2.5k its when you start asking for extra things where the prices tend to go up such as suede, carpet, embriodery, lowering of the seat etc....
but ill tell you one thing once you go leather you wont go back!!!
