Hi,
Was wondering what components id need to change in order to get softer suspension, but keep the low ride height. When flooring it, I want to lift the front quite a bit.. I mean, who deosnt. Also a traction issue too. Am i looking at softer rear springs of some sort or shockies? Cheers.

im not seeing the logic.... you wanna make your car handle worse by fitting soft springs, so you can look fooly sik when you tramp it?

No, isnt it common knowledge that softer springs will enhance traction, something a lot more important then looking "fully sick".
Will have close to 280rwkw, hard suspension didnt work with 150rwkw Edit: Dont give a stuff about handling. Straight line man here.

well Im doing it from the ride comfort VS looks scenario.
Im going to use a comfort short travel shock instead of the sports ryder or equivelent. I dont care for go kart handling unless its a sports car of some sort, id rather look low and have a plush (plus as I can get) ride than be bumping all over the place.

I think the Whiteline kits are well regarded, also high end shocks like Koni and Bilstein. As for springs, I personally think King is only good for a budget set-up. I want to upgrade mine eventually.

well actually dude you need softer springs in the front with a high rebound ratio so they will give a lot more lift.. and hard springs in the back that will resist the rear sitting down. This is why dragracers run 90/10 and 10/90 shocks. The softer the springs you can put in the front the better, just dont expect them to be to low or you will chop your tyres out goin round corners..
oh and if you want straight line speed just disconnect your swaybar ;) |

easiest way would be to put au fairmont ghia springs in the front and remove sway bar from front as well. still will handle ok and when in a straight line, the front will raise and force traction to the back. is that what you after?

Haha, i might of been interested but ive got plenty of "stock" springs here mate. Plus sending stock springs that far wouldnt be too economical. Thanks anyway though.

hard rear suspension normally means more wheelspin doesn't it? I thought the rears couldn't be too hard, as less wheel spin is needed so you get more grip to give you the front going up?
