Nothing to do with chilling.

OED666 kept no secrets concerning the setup of his car, and the actual numbers from the time card. Is it too much to ask that the courtesy be returned?

13.77 from an N/A E-series is no easy task (V8 or I6). 13.77 from an AUTO is crazy! 13.77 from an AUTO on LPG is insane!

Surely you can understand our interest?

well i was talkin to swanny on sat, and he said the work he done to his head, he would never do for a customer, to unreliable, he also said hes 22 thou away from a water jacket.

it is no surprise that I built my motor .. its been posted on here heaps . and the head work is more then I would do for any person the gas set up is a modded V8 unit and the inlet is modded as well
my first run was a 14.2 with wheel spin then a 14.1 with spin into 2nd but taking off at a lower rpm
my 3rd run is the one every one wants to know about.
Well lane 1 ( best lane on the day) I lined up behind the big boys in there Utes .. that blue one does a massive skid and runs. when i get my skid I do em well( ask people who watched) and I lined up on the Utes skid marks.
there was a black BA Ute beside me
lights green and off we went .
I make my power from about 2,400 and I can hold it at 2,200 with out spinning the wheels .. my take off is slow but at about the 50 -60 mark I start to pick up.( even the Goldy/light brown AU beat me to 60 foot)
My car run right through to red line and over now no probs.
as it got hotter I tried to rich-en up my gas and advanced the timing but all it did was make it better down low . the next run was another 14.2??? and from there I went slower 14.6 14.8 then a 15. and could not even spin the wheels good in a skid as the auto slipped to much. I pulled out of the d.y.o. as I needed my auto to get me home.. left the car sit for a few hrs .

That's it realy. It was a lucky run and I said that at the time.
When I get my heat sorted and stop the fans from killing my engine then I will run high - mid(I hope) 13 all day.

I can not scan the slips but I can type them in

I agree! I cant for the life of me work out how an LPG car is doing that. Ive considered converting to LPG previously but dont want to because of power loss and all the other associated crap. Perhaps I was wrong....

When I was driving past him in the lane and he yelled out "13.7" I nearly died!

Just type the slip Swanny, everyone knows you did it and people witnessed it aswell.

I reckon that with a mild stall (2500?) and a fresher box you'll be seeing 13.6s but with a loss of 1-2mph. Your 60ft time will improve dramatically, let's say 2.5 tenths, but you'd lose a tenth over the 2nd half of the track.

Do you have a shift kit (elec/mech) and a decent cooler?

I kind of went the opposite to all this when I removed my stall (slower 60ft, quicker over the 2nd half, 1-2 tenths slower ET, faster MPH)

I think with a better trans cooler and stall and different diff gears I will get quicker.. . not a lot but maybe to about 13.5 ...
I only have the XR6 trans cooler a.t.m. it does work just not as good as it needs to.
and yes I have a mechanical shift kitted box and a different speedo cog to my cars stock one.

he was getting like 2.01 60ft i remember so there isnt that much improvement to be made there i dont think.
if u watch him off the line he gets off quiker than alot of the other cars.

2.0 60ft's matches caspers car (which has big stall and 4.11 diff)
pretty damn good for a car that swanny thinks is a slug off the line :P

And I was only managing 2.1 60ft times with the 3000rpm stally. I'm now doing 2.2-2.3s minus the stall

Just... wow!
